Our commitment
Corvus Intel is committed to making its dashboard and supporting pages usable by the widest possible audience, including users who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or screen magnification.
Conformance target
This site targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Pages are tested against this target before each release. We also follow the EN 301 549 European harmonized standard and the U.S. ADA Title III 2024 Department of Justice rule expectations for state and local government sites (used here as a private-sector benchmark, not a regulatory obligation).
What we have done
- Skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element
- Semantic landmarks (
main, nav, section, footer) with explicit ARIA roles where helpful aria-labelon every interactive form control without an associated<label for>- Sequential heading levels in static HTML (no h2 → h4 jumps)
- Light-theme variant with sufficient contrast ratios
- Touch targets sized to a 36 px minimum on the dashboard
- Keyboard-shortcut help available via ? with a fully focusable close control
Known limitations
The dashboard is a single-page JavaScript application. The following limitations are tracked and being addressed:
- Some dynamically-rendered panels render headings via templates whose nesting depends on selected view; the static-HTML layer was audited and corrected, but transient runtime headings may occasionally skip a level.
- Screen-reader announcement of live-feed updates is currently passive; a follow-up release will add
aria-liveregions to the breaking-news strip. - Map-based panels (Leaflet) inherit upstream library behavior; alternative table views are available for the same data.
