Cookie Policy

Effective Date: May 7, 2026 | Last Updated: May 7, 2026

This page explains what cookies and storage technologies Corvus Intel uses on https://corvusintel.app, why, and how you can control them. For a broader overview of how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by the sites you visit. Similar technologies include localStorage, IndexedDB, session storage, pixels, and SDKs; in this policy "cookies" covers all of them.

What we set

What we do store on your device

Your watchlists, bookmarks, source list, theme preference, alert rules, custom keyword filters, and cached feed data live in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB on your device. Nothing is transmitted back to a server. You can clear this storage at any time through your browser's site-data controls.

Third-party connections

If you opt in to AI features by entering your own API key, requests go directly from your browser to the chosen provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, Perplexity, or your local Ollama). Their cookie and data-handling policies apply to those direct interactions.

The map view loads OpenStreetMap tile imagery from tile.openstreetmap.org; OSM's privacy practices apply to that connection.

Server-side, our edge proxy fetches RSS/Atom sources on your behalf. Source publishers may set their own cookies in response to those server-to-server requests, but those cookies stay on the proxy and never reach your browser.

Why no cookie banner

Because no first-party cookie identifies you and no third-party tracker is loaded by default, the site does not display a cookie consent banner under ePrivacy / GDPR rules. If you load AI provider domains through their APIs, those connections may set cookies for that provider; consult the provider's policy for details.

How to clear your data

  1. Open browser settings → Privacy → Clear site data for corvusintel.app.
  2. Or use the in-app Export button to back up your watchlists and source list before clearing.
  3. To unregister the service worker: open DevTools → Application → Service Workers → Unregister.

Do-Not-Track

We honor browser Do-Not-Track signals where technically feasible. There is nothing tracking-related to disable on our side because nothing is being tracked.
